Web E-Mail Access

Procedure to connect to
Microsoft Exchange Server from your Internet Service Provider...

Assumption:
Use of  this procedure, assumes that you have an account with an Internet Service provider. Your provider (ISP) will provide you with the information and procedures necessary to connect to the internet. Once this capability has been established, connect to the internet and open your browser. You are not limited to using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, however as this process is designed for IE, we recommend that you use it for connection to your TVF&R E-Mail.

Connect to Microsoft Exchange with Outlook Web Access

Once connected to your Internet account, you will need to type http://tvfrmail.tvfr.com/exchange in the Address field of your browser to connect to your TVF&R email account.

Authentication:
You will be asked to authenticate using an Authentication form. This form requires you to enter your TVF&R network login as Domain\Login. The  TVF&R Domain is HQ. Enter HQ followed by your network login and then enter your network password in the second field and click the OK button.

Authentication
To protect the network from outsiders who might not have the District's best interest in mind or who are simply up to devilment, we connect to the Internet through a firewall. When you enter your TVF&R Network login name into the text box on the Outlook Web Access Form, the Exchange Server will present you with a Windows XP login authentication screen.

OK... So I connected, but it looks Different from Outlook 2000
It is different. Note that the form calls itself Microsoft Outlook Web Access (Form.) This connection is a web form that doesn't really have the functionality or usability of the MS Office application, Outlook 2003. However, it allows you to access and interact with your office mail folders from home or while traveling.

The Outlook Web Access below is the access to your server with Windows XP. It is much improved over previous versions

  • Login to any personal folder in your E-Mail account http://tvfrmail.tvfr.com/exchange/(Your Login)/Junk%20E-Mail/. Remember to replace any spaces in folder names with %20. %20 is the Octal equivalent of a space and is required, however, your browser may insert it for you.
